Ryan Bates is a local to the Upper Hunter Valley of NSW. He has spent over 20 years fishing the local impoundments and the Hunter River. Lake Glenbawn is his home base for chasing Australian Bass and spends most of his spare time nutting out new methods on targeting Bass and improving on old methods. Chasing Bass has become an addiction for him the last three years, and Ryan is all about wanting learn as much as he can and teaching others on how best to catch these little Aussie brawlers.
